An Afternoon With Matthias Sperling (2012)
An Afternoon With Matthias Sperling is a live performance presenting itself as the filming of the pilot episode of Sperling's new television talk show. In this episode, filmed before a live studio audience, he hosts discussions with 3 special guests who share his research interests: University of Leicester neuroscientist Dr. Rodrigo Quian Quiroga, choreographer Siobhan Davies CBE, and dance artist/University College London neuroscientist Dr. Guido Orgs. Between discussions with individual guests, Sperling presents short performances and video excerpts of his work. The episode culminates in a special guest appearance by dance artist Vicky Malin, performing the pop song from Sperling's Candoco Dance Company commissioned solo work 'This is it' (2011).
